Halle Berry was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Her parents split when she was just four years old, and she then lived with her mother. In the 80’s, she started joining beauty pageants and won Miss Ohio USA and Miss Teen All American. Berry then won second place for the Miss USA Beauty Pageant and placed first in the Miss USA World Beauty Pageant. From modeling, she later on shifted her focus to having an acting career.

She got an acting credit for ABC’s sitcom Living Dolls, where she made an appearance in twelve episodes. Berry eventually landed an iconic role in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever.
