The size of a comet if it were over LA

Do you know how big a comet is? We never seem to think about it, because it is difficult for us to see comets come to Earth, even if comets pass by the earth many times. You may think that comets are very small, compared with Earth, but not compared with humans.

The comet is composed of a central nucleus, coma, and tail. The comet nucleus is less than 6 miles wide. When it approaches the sun, it will be heated and begin to vent, showing a visible atmosphere, that is, a comet, and sometimes a comet tail. Sometimes, the tail can be more than 600,000 miles long. You may not imagine these numbers, but this picture tells us how terrible a comet would be if it landed over Los Angeles.
