Sally Field
Sally Margaret Field is an American actress and director. She is the recipient of various accolades, including two Academy Awards, three Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and nominations for a Tony Award, and two British Academy Film Awards. She was exposed to the industry at a very young age. After the marriage of her parents fell into the hands of a divorce lawyer, her mother married actor and stuntman, Jock Mahoney. Sadly, it went out that she was allegedly sexually abused by her stepfather when she was younger.
Field didn’t let that get in her way as she trained to be an actress and started her career in 1965. Her first role was a boy-crazy surfer girl on the sitcom Gidget. The show wasn’t a success and was canceled after a year, but thanks to her classic girl next door beauty, the actress was able to land many more roles that have brought her awards and nominations.
