HARRISON FORD

Harrison Ford skyrocketed to international fame after playing Han Solo in the hit Star Wars trilogy. His Hollywood standing doubled when he played the titular character in the Indiana Jones film franchise. Ford is also known for his work in dramatic and action movies, including Blade Runner, The Fugitive, and Patriot Games, among many others. Three of his movies ranked in the top 5 box-office hits of all time.

The actor earned his philosophy degree from Ripon College, but in his pursuit to get over a lifelong shyness, he enrolled in a drama class in senior year. He then became hooked on acting and appeared in various local productions. Between 1966 and 1973, Ford only landed a handful of small parts. Thanks to producer Fred Roos, Harrison secured an audition spot for George Lucas’ project American Graffiti, which is one of Hollywood’s most profitable films of all time.
