JOAN COLLINS

Joan Collins became a household name for her role as Alexis Colby on the popular soap opera Dynasty, which ran for eight years in the 1980s. The Hollywood actress made her film debut in the 1950s with the comedy Lady Godiva Rides Again. She followed that performance with a prominent role in the 1952 movie I Believe in You. Her work in the film led to the British press describing her as “Britain’s bad girl.” Between shooting movies, Collins also starred in plays around London and was cast in The Land of the Pharaohs, which paved the way for her to land a contract with the media company 21st Century Fox.

By the following years, Collins took a lighter workload so she could focus on raising a family. She had a few credits in movies and guest appearances on shows like Star Trek and Mission: Impossible.
