SUSAN DEY
Born in Pekin, Illinois, as Susan Hallock Smith, Sudan Dey started her modeling career while still studying at New York’s Fox Lane High School. She was then cast in the sitcom that would make her a household nameLaurie Partridge on the knockout show The Partridge Family. She played the fan-favorite role until the end of the show in 1974.
From there, Dey went on to guest-star and co-star in recurring roles in multiple shows and television movies, including Hawaii Five-O, Little Women, and Lies and Lullabies. She is also recognized as Deputy District Attorney Grace van Owen on L.A. Law, a role that allowed her to garner a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Dey also authored a book titled Susan Dey’s Secrets on Boys. Furthermore, she serves as a board member of a treatment center at UCLA.
