Meryl Streep

A motivational boost can go a long way. At a young age, Meryl Streep was told by her mother that she could do anything if she placed her heart into it. Well, that anything turned out to be acting. Even during her school years, Streep had the makings of a performer. From being a cheerleader to performing on stage productions to even having a stint as an opera singer, she could do it. No wonder she eventually made it big under the spotlight.

Streep began her professional career as a stage actress. Debuting with a role in Trelawny of the Wells, two other productions she starred in include A Memory of Two Mondays and 27 Wagons Full of Cotton, earning her Tony nominations. With her acting chops being her most notable investment, Streep made her way to the big screen. Now a well-known figure on stage and in films, a few of the actress’ significant works include The Deer Hunter, Sophie’s Choice, Mamma Mia, and The Iron Lady.
