Barbra Streisand
With her mother being a talented singer, perhaps it’s safe to say where Barbra Streisand inherited her musical inclination from. Throughout childhood, she showcased her singing chops in numerous events. Sometimes, she’d even sing in her apartment building’s hallway just because she could. Well, with all these experiences, it wasn’t all too surprising when she finally decided to pursue a career as a performer.
Starting her career around the 1960s, performing on Broadway and in clubs, Streisand eventually landed guest appearances for a couple of TV shows. Not long after, she released her album debut, 1963’s The Barbra Streisand Album. Talk about beginning with a bang: the album was an instant success and even earned the singer a Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Since then, along with her other records and on-screen credits, Streisand is also one of the few stars to win at least one Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.
